Castle Drogo as both a country house and castle that can be found near the town of Destination in Devon. It was built in 1911 for Julius Drewe, a businessman and founder of the Home and Colonial Stories.
The castle took many years to be built due to incidents such as the First World War and economic downturn.
"Castle Drogo was the last castle to be built in England."
Castle Drogo is currently undergoing a five year conservation to bring it back to former glory. The stately home borrows many styles from other castle buildings from both the medieval and Tudor period. For more information about Castle Drogo, visit the Nation Trust website.
